Wesley P. Watson Sr.

Wesley P. Watson, Sr., born on September 18, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan, was a man of resilience, generosity, and unwavering optimism. He built a legacy through his 38-year career at Chrysler, his entrepreneurial ventures, and his deep devotion to family. Known affectionately as "Pop-Pop," Wesley created lasting memories for his children and grandchildren, from family road trips to life lessons shared through his many creative pursuits. His favorite saying, “It’s a great day to be alive,” was a reflection of his enduring gratitude and zest for life, even in challenging times.

Diagnosed with pancreatic cancer later in life, Wesley faced his illness with remarkable strength, proclaiming just weeks before his passing, “I’ve had a good life.” His resilience and positive spirit continue to inspire the Brenda & Wesley Foundation’s mission to advance pancreatic cancer research. By supporting families and fostering hope for those impacted by this devastating disease, the foundation honors Wesley’s legacy and his unwavering belief in a brighter future.
